The Deacon Blended Scotch Whisky

The Deacon Blended Scotch Whisky

The Deacon is a contemporary blended Scotch whisky created for drinkers looking for a bolder and more unconventional expression of Scotch. The name comes from the traditional Scottish term for a skilled and accomplished craftsman, reflecting the expertise of the distillers behind the blend. The Deacon combines peated single malts from Islay with lightly smoky single malts from Speyside, bringing together two distinctly different expressions of smoke. Islay contributes its characteristic peaty character, while Speyside adds a warmer, bonfire-like smokiness. The result is a rich and complex blend built around smoke, citrus and spice. The striking copper-inspired bottle design pays homage to the traditional copper stills used in whisky production, giving The Deacon a distinctive presence both on shelf and behind the bar. Launched in 2023, it forms part of Pernod Ricard's super-premium Scotch portfolio.
